An active period of winter weather will be affecting the region this week. There is the potential for a 1 to 4 inch snowfall event to affect the Monday morning commute, and a more significant storm may impact the region the middle of next week, with rain, ice, and snow, with the potential for a significant icing event, as well as the threat of river flooding, due to rainfall, snow-melt, and ice jam development.
