Mayor’s Welcome

Welcome to the East Lansdowne website. I am John A Dukes Jr., the Mayor. We are a proud community established in 1911. Our traditions go back just as far. We have an outstanding Police Department headed by Chief John Zimath. Our Volunteer Fire Department is one of the best in Delaware County, also headed by a fine leader, Chief Jim Carr. We are a part of the William Penn School District, and the School Board Director, Marian Fitti and Borough Council work together to always make improvements in the community.

Our annual Fourth of July parade is coming up and we can use some volunteers! If you are interested in being a part of an awesome tradition, please call the borough office at 610-623-7131 and leave your name and contact information so someone from the committee can be in touch with you.

We are at the beginning of the Golden Mile of Baltimore Pike straight out to our County Seat of Media, PA.  We also have many thriving businesses along our part of Baltimore Pike who could use your support!

Please stop and visit our Memorial Park, established in 2016.  The park is dedicated to our servicemen and first responders and includes a piece of the World Trade Center.  Personalized pavers are available for purchase which will become a permanent part of the path into the park.

East Lansdowne is a popular borough to host events in our Hall.  More information about the hall is on the website under the Hall tab.

Thank you for visiting our website. Remember to check in periodically for updates!  You can also find us on Facebook .
